Fady Atallah
Fady Gamal Atallah (b. 1983) is an Egyptian/Swedish director and producer. Coming from an engineering background, Fady earned his MS in chemical engineering from Cairo University, subsequently studied film at Stockholm Film School and achieved his MA in filmmaking at De Montfort University in the UK. He is a current PhD candidate in audio-visual film studies at University of Birmingham in the UK (remote based). Fady implemented several award-winning short films that have toured worldwide (e.g. Raindance Film festival & Mumbai Shorts International FF). The awards include Jury Prize at CNFF 2016, Certificate of Excellence at Mumbai Shorts International Film festival 2018, Best Student Film at BIMFF 2022, and more. Fady has produced several documentaries and has multiple features in active development.
Fady is a member of the Swedish Film & Video Union (Sveriges Film- och videoförbund - SFF), Independent Filmmakers Union in Sweden (Oberoende Filmares Förbund - OFF) and Screenwriting Research Network in the UK (SRN).

We are pleased to present two free courses in Arabic to youth below 25 years old. The courses are supported by Bonniers Familjestiftelse and Alkompis. At the end of the two courses, a script will be chosen from the outcomes of the screenwriting course and executed by the hands of the filmmaking students.
